I just spent much of the evening working on my resume, with some much-appreciated help from hansandersen. It made me realize just how strange my job quals are: physics, lots of scientific software dev, lots of back-end software dev, and odds and ends like “radiation lab experience,” “held DOE P clearance,” and reading knowledge of various medieval languages.
I’m sure there’s some sort of job that combines those things, but I’m kinda curious as to what it is…
You need to work for SRI or a similar think tank sorta place like I told you before. I know you said SRI didn’t have job openings for you, but some place like that I think would be your perfect spot. Good luck on that, btw. :}
And hey, we need to get together soon. Call/email/im me?
Whatever that job is, I’m sure you’ll do great! See you tonight. *hugs*
With such a vast knowledge of the structure of space and time, lab experience, past security clearances, and knowledge of various medieval languages, it should be quite obvious what field you should pursue: You should go into Time Travel!! ;-P
I think you may be on to something…
Of course I am! You came back from the future to tell me to plant this idea in your head!
Either that, or I had really weird dreams no doubt caused by eating mexican food too late right before bed…
What do you mean “or?”
I think that you’re usually on to something and you had really weird dreams last night.
Also, who better than the chronomancer to tell the physicist that the latter should go into time travel? 🙂

Ah, touche!
. . . and whether it requires the symbol from the cover of the Simon Necronomicon to be tattooed on your backside?
